Safety and site information

Access conditions, known hazards, utility-locate status, traffic or protection requirements, and any site-specific rules the crew must follow.

Equipment plan

The machine size or operator coverage required, whether equipment is supplied by the project or rental partner, and any attachment or trailer needs.

Commercial details

Project location, start window, expected duration, billing contact, purchase-order or subcontract requirements, and the preferred quote format.

Next-trade timing

When concrete, utilities, septic installation, forming, trucking, or another trade needs the work area ready.

The person responsible for confirming scope changes, unexpected soil or access conditions, materials, and schedule decisions.

Pricing conversations

The right price starts with the right scope

Location, access, quantities, materials, timing, and equipment all affect the commercial next step.

Open the pricing guide

Defined-scope project quote

Best when the dimensions, access, material plan, sequence, and deliverable are clear enough to define the work package.

  • A written scope of physical work
  • Defined assumptions and exclusions
  • Target schedule or mobilization window
  • Material, haulage, and access items identified before pricing

Hourly or day-based support

Useful for changing site conditions, operator coverage, urgent support, or work where the final quantity cannot be known in advance.

  • Equipment or operator requirement
  • Expected shift, day, or coverage window
  • Mobilization and travel assumptions
  • A clear person approving additional time or scope

Rough phone conversation first

A practical first step when you need to understand feasibility, availability, likely scope, or whether a site meeting is worthwhile before requesting a formal quote.

  • Location and access description
  • What needs to happen and why
  • Timing and deadline
  • Photos, measurements, plans, or a site contact when available

Scope clarity

MSP reviews the location, physical work package, access, timing, equipment arrangement, and next-trade requirements before pricing.

Clear responsibility

MSP’s physical work is separated from engineering, design, permits, inspections, septic approvals, and other project responsibilities.

Working with MSP

From first contact to a defined work package

Share the information MSP needs to review fit, scope, schedule, and site conditions.

01

Tell MSP the project type, location, timing, equipment or operator need, and the next trade you are trying to keep moving.

02

Attach plans, photos, access details, locate status, material requirements, and the commercial contact or onboarding checklist.

03

Discuss what MSP is supplying, what the project supplies, how changing conditions are handled, and what the quote assumes.

04

Move to a rough price conversation, site meeting, written scope, operator coverage discussion, or formal subcontractor onboarding.

Have a project package ready?

Send the scope, location, timing, access, and attachments through the contractor inquiry.

Start contractor inquiry

Start with the problem, not the jargon

Choose your project path

Select the closest match and you will see the information that helps MSP discuss a rough price, confirm availability, or decide whether a site meeting is the right next step.

Septic excavation or backfill

Tank excavation, leaching-bed preparation, trenching, backfill, rough grading, and restoration support under the approved septic scope.

Homeowners, septic installers, and rural-property projects. The more of the information below you can provide, the more useful the first phone call can be.

Send these details

  • Project town and access route
  • Approved septic layout, elevations, or plan
  • Tank, bed, trench, or backfill phase
  • Permit, inspection, and installer contact
  • Known rock, groundwater, slope, or access concerns

Questions we can answer faster

  • Is the septic plan approved and available?
  • Who is responsible for installation and inspection?
  • Where can spoil or imported material be placed?
  • What is the target excavation date?

A clearer first conversation

How the first conversation works

Share the key project details before the call so the conversation can focus on scope, timing, access, and the right next step.

01

Choose the closest project path

Start with the problem or phase you need covered. You do not need to know the exact construction term.

02

Send the useful details

Location, timing, scope, access, plans, and photos help MSP determine whether a rough phone conversation is enough or a site meeting is needed.

03

Confirm the work boundary

MSP clarifies the physical work, materials, equipment, responsibilities, and any design, permit, locate, or inspection items that remain with the project team.

04

Move toward a price or meeting

With enough information, Nicolaas can discuss a rough price range, availability, next questions, or a site meeting instead of starting from zero.
